About Rectify

Concept

Rectify is a precise, locally-hosted image cropping tool focused on composition. Unlike standard photo editors, Rectify overlays classical and mathematical composition guides (such as the Rule of Thirds, Golden Spiral, and Dynamic Symmetry) over your images. This allows you to crop and align your photos with artistic precision, enhancing their visual impact before exporting.

How to Use the Grids

  1. Upload an Image: Drag and drop your image onto the main screen or click to browse.
  2. Select an Overlay: Use the dropdown menu in the toolbar () to pick a composition guide.
  3. Adjust Settings: Change the grid's opacity using the slider and customize the color to ensure it contrasts well with your photo.
  4. Crop & Transform: Drag the crop handles to frame your subject. You can lock the aspect ratio, rotate, or mirror the image using the toolbar buttons.
  5. Export: Click the Export button to save the resulting image in your preferred quality.
